Intergroup Office Needs Office Help - 201 Consortium Place

We would like to have two volunteers working
                                                       each afternoon at the office
This a four hour commitment each week 12 Noon to 3:30 PM
so that one volunteer can offer service to members coming in to
purchase books and literature and the other volunteer can answer
the telephone. ...............  What better way to get involved in Service ! ! !

No previous experience needed . . training provided on cash, telephone and the computer
Idea for those with their afternoons free . . . . .. .  or if you are just wasting them anyway.
Idea for those with limited work experience . . references supplied with10 years service.

For those Interested, please call the Intergroup Office between  -  12 Noon & 3:30 PM
or contacting Mike D. at the office 438-9006 or e-mail

I am responsible, when anyone, anywhere, reaches out for help,
I want the hand of AA always to be there, and for that: I am responsible

12 STEP CALLS = 24 HOUR HELP LINE - TELEPHONE ANSWERING SERVICE          Needs volunteers to answer questions from those people calling our help-line when the office is closed . . .  . . . . . How this works is, those calling the help-line will leave their telephone number with the answering service operator and the operator will contact those on the call list. When you sign up as a volunteer for the help-line you will be able to list the times you are available to take calls.
A suggested minimum of one year sobriety would be necessary

CORRECTIONS (formally know as the Jail Committee)
Needs volunteers to conduct meetings at the Elgin Middlesex Detention Center (EMDC) and 'One-On-Ones' both male and female Members are needed. It is recommended that you have two years sober time before applying as you will needed a Police Clearance for this position.
